Rishikesh

Rishikesh Travel Rishikesh also known as the 'Place of Sages' is a spiritual town situated 24 kms. upstream from Haridwar, at the confluence of the Chandrabhaga and Ganga, It is believed that God by the name of 'Hrishikesh' had apeared as an answer to the hard penances by Rabhiya Rishi and henceforth the place derived its name.

For the adventure seekers, Rishikesh is the suggested place for starting their trekking expeditions to the Himalayan peaks and for rafting. Also, International Yoga Week which attracts participation from across the world, is held here, every year, in February on the bank of the Ganga.

Triveni Ghat
Triveni Ghat is believed to be the confluence of the Ganga, the Yamuna and the legendary Saraswati rivers. Devotees take a holy dip and performed  'Aarti' on every evening. Triveni Ghat
Laxman Jhoola Laxman Jhoola
A suspension bridge across river Ganga situated 5 kms. from Rishikesh, on the way to Badrinath and Kedarnath. It was built in 1929 to replace a rope bridge. It is believed the Rama's brother Lakshman crossed the river here on a jute rope.
Shivanand Jhoola
Also known as Ram Jhoola, a suspension bridge between the Shivanand Ashram and the Swargashram. It provides an alternative to a boat ride from one bank of the Ganga to another

Temples

Some premier temples in Rishikesh are Raghunath Temple, Pushkar Temple, Venkateshwar Temple, Chandra Mauleshwaran Temple, Shatrughan Temple, Bharat Temple and Lakshman Templs.

Ashrams & Yoga Centers

Some of main Ashrams are Shivanand Asharam, Muni ki Reti, Mahesh Yogi Ashram, Shankaracharya Nagar, Swarg Ashram, Gita Bhawan, Ved Niketan and Yoga Study Center.

Kaudiala 

Kaudiala is just 37 km. far. GMVN has provides essential rafting facilities at Kaudiala (389 mts.). Located on the Badrinath road. Kaudiala is surrounded by dense forests.

For river rafting enthusiasts, Kaudiala is Rafters camp. GMVN conducts river rafting courses here. They provide rafts, equipment and river side camping items. Rock climbing can also be organised here.
